Did you know that the percussion is the oldest musical instrument in the world and that people drummed bones to entertain themselves before they could speak?...
...It was funny though!

Percussion is considered the most primitive form of music making. Percussion and effect instruments are therefore among humanity's first tools for musical expression. Regional and cultural differences play an important role. Today's percussion instruments either still exist in their original form or have been adapted to changing conditions over the centuries. However, new developments from scratch are rare. As with all instruments, the design plays a significant role in the production of sound and therefore not only has visual and haptic effects but also acoustic ones.

However, conga, bongos, timbales and maracas, to name a few important percussion instruments, require special hitting or playing techniques that a drummer (in the narrower popular music sense) does not always master - and vice versa.

The drums are a collection of different percussion instruments that can vary greatly from genre to genre. It has also been proven that drumming of all kinds promotes the development of motor skills and brain functions. That's why it is highly recommended for all ages.

Conclusion: A nice and very healthy hobby!
